Welcome to Xpenz. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Xpenz mobile application ("the app"). By using Xpenz, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Xpenz. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter (expenses, subscriptions, receipt photos) and for keeping your account credentials secure.
Xpenz offers an optional auto-renewing subscription ("Premium") that unlocks additional features (e.g. unlimited receipt scans, ad-free use, renewal alerts).
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal: your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Renewal charge: your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to.
Managing or cancelling: you can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings, or via the "Manage Subscription" option inside Xpenz (which opens your Apple ID subscription settings). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's own refund policies — Xpenz cannot issue refunds directly.
You retain ownership of the data you enter into Xpenz (expense records, receipt photos, etc.). You grant us permission to store and process this data solely to provide the app's functionality to you, including sending receipt photos to a third-party AI service to extract details (see our Privacy Policy).
You agree not to misuse Xpenz — including attempting to disrupt the service, reverse-engineer the app, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
You may delete your account at any time from within the app. This permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — that must be cancelled separately through Apple.
Xpenz is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-scanned receipt data will always be perfectly accurate — always verify important financial information yourself.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Xpenz and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
